A Dallas man has been accused of abducting and killing two of his sons, ages five and three, on Monday in Dallas.

According to family, the father had been stalking his sons prior to the murders, and had waited outside their school in the morning, and took them away before they arrived. Sources said he forced both his two older sons and their mother into his car after threatening them with a brick. The man had reportedly gotten into an argument with his wife, from whom he is separated after a history of domestic violence.

The children's mother was able to escape from the vehicle at a red light and inform officers of the danger. Sources said police reported the incident but didn't pursue the vehicle. Several hours later, the boys' grandmother called 911 reporting that they had been drowned in a creek. Authorities found the boys' bodies in their father's car.

The man's One-year-old son had been staying with a relative when he adducted his two older sons. Sources said the man had attempted to abduct his youngest son also, but his uncle prevented him from doing so.

Child Protective Services reportedly had contact with the troubled couple over the past year, and-at the time of the murders-had an open case from May in which the man's wife requested that the agency limit her husband to supervised contact with their children. She stated that she had been concerned about their safety. A case worker had apparently visited the couple's home on August 10 and determined that the children were in no danger.

The man reportedly has a criminal history in Dallas County court going back over 10 years, including five arrests on misdemeanor charges and a 2010 felony charge of aggravated assault with a deadly weapon.
